New games search engine and flow options

I’m still at GDC where my days are packed with meetings and wandering around giving away beta keys to random people and letting them know about how amazingly ground breaking and revolutionnary and utterly paradigm shifting Gamocracy is in as short a time as I can. Think twitting but with the mouth, not the keyboard.

And, mind you, the real GDC action is only starting tomorrow when the actual show floor opens, loaded with new games to check. Check Facebook for pictures, Youtube for videos.

Meanwhile in Paris, Gamocracy has changed a lot over the past few days. Take the jump in case you missed the latest episodes…

New Games Search Engine and Browsing

For years I thought the main reason for Google’s success was its super fancy interface. I understood I was wrong last November when I realized the first version of our search engine wouldn’t find “Street Fighter IV” if I typed “Street Fighter 4″ in the search field!

It’s now fixed, as well as many more small glitches, thanks to RĂ©mi implementing open source engine Xapian. With the new engine also comes a new browsing interface made for you to find games easily according to their hotness, release date, general opinion and such. Check it out

settingsNew Flow Options

A cranted wheel appeared at the top of your flow. Clicking it will open a settings panel which lets you pick what information you want displayed in your flow. Is it only ratings? Is it only database edits? Is it everything that’s happenning on Gamocracy? etc.

My flow settings to the right: I want it all!

News are now called Glinks

What is that? There must be something cooking…
