Top Ratings and Glinks now broadcast to Twitter Friday, April 30th, 2010

Since late last night, whenever a Rating or a Glink receives 2 pwnz!, it automatically gets to our Twitter page. Hopefully this makes for a good quality timeline.

(If you’re new to Gamocracy: pwnz! are positive feedback points you distribute to reward good stuff on the site.)

And while I’m talking social networks… It is now clear that we were all wrong: Google is not Skynet. Facebook is, which makes it all that much more important you say you like us over there.

Join us as we interview Bad Company’s music composer Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

As I was saying in yesterday’s post, i’ll be running an online interview of Mikael Karlsson, music composer for the Bad Company games next Tuesday, May 4th.

For this interview I’ll prepare a set of questions but I also believe getting fans of the game in to ask their own questions would spice things up.

Battlefield Bad Company fans, this is for you! If you’re interested in asking Mikael Karlsson a couple questions next Tuesday, send an email to contact-at-gamocracy-dot-com and let me know your Gamocracy username.

what you need to know:
– Interview start: 21:00 CET / 3pm EDT / 12pm PDT on Tuesday May 4th
– Interview will last for one hour
– We’ll run the interview through typed chat, using the Xfire client (download)

The Good Company of Mikael Karlsson Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Walking through the campus, Mikael stops suddenly. It’s effing cold. Why!?

He’s pointing in a direction. At his fingertips, afar, Manhattan’s tall buildings are hiding part of the sky. “Isn’t it beautiful?”, he asks. I nod.  “The whole school was standing right here on 9/11, looking at the towers.” I can only imagine the show.

Mikael Karlsson is the music composer for the Battlefield: Bad Company games.

Last month he took me to visit the school he teaches at.

It’s incredible. These days. Really. I mean. You know.

no kidding.

Doyle W. Donehoo, Dawn of War Music Composer, Interview Friday, April 23rd, 2010

But I’m not the only one.

Yesterday I was joined by GODJonez, Imbaer, R4VI4TOR and Ratatosk to meet Doyle W. Donehoo, music composer for games such as this one and this one too, on Xfire. (If you’d like to hear what Doyle’s music sounds like and you don’t have the games, there’s his website)

Below you’ll find the full interview transcript. We ran it in one single room since we weren’t too many. I liked it like that compared to big live chats where you have to moderate everything, like I used to do.

I didn’t edit anything besides a couple typos so I will say this now:
– R4VI4TOR and Imbaer are not the German connection since Imbaer is from Austria, now I recall. hrhr
– I didn’t leave enough room to the others in the beginning but it was more out of anguish than anything else…
