MaaAx being a parisian, he came home to get his prize today! (if you missed the latest episodes, we’re running a contest this summer and MaaAx is our first winner for his Opinion on Portal).
We could chat, drink, talk about the good old days of when we were colleagues and say mean things about those we didn’t like. I also revealed secret secrets about Gamocracy’s future. All in all, a pretty good time.
When the time came for the picture, we just looked around my room for one sec before it got obvious what would make for a fitting background…
And before he visited, our lucker answered questions by email.

So, what are you doing these days at Game One?
Well, I’m on holidays right know. As you know, I’m a video game journalist (I also work for MotorMag in Mauritius), I talk about all the great games we’re gonna get in the future. And yes, being a reporter for that kind of stuff is f-ing great !!! But now the season (my fourth) is over, we’ve ended it at the E3 – which was pretty amazing by the way! So now I’m enjoying some free time, playing music and video games. It’s also a great time to hang out in the streets of Paris, as everyone is still working :D
What’s on the to do list for this summer?
Winning some contest on Gamocracy obviously ^^ And by the way, I have a new MacBook (my first one actually) and I needed a new mouse pad, so it couldn’t have been better! Seriously, I’m working on some new stuff on my acoustic guitar, maybe for my first ever solo project – but it could end as a duet with a friend. I also work on Jenny in Cage’s second EP, and I finally get to play a thousand games I’ve collected this year. Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Bad Company 2, Red Steel 2, Mario Galaxy 2 (what’s up with the 2′s this year ???)…there are so many great titles I need to play!!! “Auto-promo” on : You can also read some of my words on ChoucrouteGarnie.fr and see great pictures on Photochiottes.com, two funky sites I launched with some friends this year.
You attended E3, how was it? Any upcoming game caught your eye more than another?
Well, E3 has become way too massive now, I couldn’t play all the games I’ve seen. I’m a Nintendo guy, so I would say 3DS was the most impressive, even if the line-up worries me a bit. Right now it’s almost all about remakes. Still, I definitely need one :). I also had a crush on RAGE (ID Software’s new title), a fantastic looking FPS. Loved the Fender guitar for Rock Band 3 (Bohemian Rapsody^^). And kudos to Michel Ancel for the magnificent Rayman Origins. Oh ! And I really enjoyed my time on Kinect, a nice and promising device…if it gets something else than tech demos.
If you could change or add just one thing to Gamocracy, what would it be?
Do add consoles! That would be just perfect. I would also like to get a Twitter and Facebook link, an iPhone application, and a chat.

No. Thx you!!! Keep up the good work, I’m really enjoying the advert-free concept. And I shouldn’t say that (you are ruining my job!!!) but for the very first time, I feel like I can go on a website and get real game reviews, written by gamers for other gamers. Priceless!!!
