The party’s over!
Eight people joined this time, spreading the trout smell over their Twitter timelines!
Out of these eight people, random.org decided mash1ne would take home the sardines box (with sardines in it). congratz ~
Since we didn’t get to more people, I’m keeping the Spider-Man biscuits and the Zowie Gear mousepad for next time. The trout fest will be back, but not next week as I’ll be away from home.

What’s that, you ask? A happy slapping time where we put Gamocracy branded fish scales all over Twitter’s floor…

Schedule: The trout fest starts on Sept. 15th 2010 at 4pm CEST (7am PDT) and lasts for 24 hours
1 – Log on Twitter
2 – Pick someone there… (friend, stranger, hero, Barrack Obama: anyone will do)
3 – … and slap them using this template tweet:
slaps @username around a bit with a large trout & points towards @Gamocracy, a game about your opinion on games

Meet the G-player: godjonez from Finland

godjonez: Hello! Sure, I am 23 years old student, studying physics at the University of Eastern Finland and also working as a research assistant there doing some research on micro and nano photonics (in size very small but in interest and importance level very big). I also used to work for Xfire with contract based work and of course my first touch to Gamocracy was that way since it was by my work at Xfire that I got introduced to this nice person known as incolas here :)

The trout slapping fest is over! Thank you everyone that took part. We weren’t much, but we were here! ~ We’ll be back with more trout slapping next week, only a bit different.
Two people qualified for tonight’s drawing so instead of going to Random.org, I just threw a coin in the air: R4VI4TOR won, he was heads. Congratz dude, a great mousepad will soon be on its way to you!

Last month I visited Denmark, where my friend Danny from Zowie Gear lives. He gave me a couple Zowie Gear high end mousepads… Since I didn’t know what to do with them, I thought to myself: why not organize a trout slapping fest on Twitter?

Meet the G-player: Anomaalia

Here we go again with our series of interviews of Gamocracy players! This time, I’ve been talking to Anomaalia, winner of Week 9 in the All Out Summer Contest.
Before we get down to his words though, let me tell you about a Facebook competition I ran over the past week. It was pretty simple to get in, you just had to ‘like’ a certain post on our Facebook page, one that talked about the Nexus One Google Phone that’s up for grabs until September 21st.
A week after the competition started, that’s today, I picked a winner at random out of the 8 people that “liked” the post. And the winner is…… Anomaalia! HIM AGAIN!!
Congratz again to our man from Estonia! He’s earned himself a Zowie Gear Swift Blue mousepad, pictured here. I’ve been using one myself for the past two weeks and, even to a long-time mousepad addict, it shows surprising qualities.
Tomorrow I will announce another contest of that kind. It will happen on Twitter this time and it will be a bit more elaborate. Follow @Gamocracy and get ready for some trout slapping!

Meet the player: TheHullu

Did you notice the All Out Summer Contest has been losing some of its identity recently? The contest page turned into more of a general landing page for Gamocracy.
It means that when the contest ends on September 21st with the Google Phone drawing, we’ll keep giving prizes away to reward the players that pwn the most. We won’t do it through a side contest anymore though, it will be part of the game of Gamocracy for good.
We have yet to come up with a format. I ain’t no fan of weekly drawings after all. I’m thinking we could go for monthly ones only, where we would reward several winners at a time. Maybe even have winners by platforms, or genres, or types of games, such as best iPhone opinion, best PC opinion, best indie game opinion, etc. I’m not really sure… If you have ideas on the topic, let us know.
